How much do you charge?

How much do you charge?

“It depends” is not a very helpful response to “How much, roughly?” but it really does.

The purpose of this page is to give you an idea of my fees.

Project rates

I prefer to work on project rates, ie rate for the whole job but I know it’s not always possible to do that. My pricing is transparent, and you will always get a written quote before work starts. Then, I usually send a short questionnaire. For larger jobs, I will ask you to sign a contract.

I have a minimum charge of £400 per assignment and my day rate depends on the complexity of the work. Some clients mix and match – project rate first, then day rate – depending on the task; we can discuss that.

Two revisions are normally included in the quoted price.  Terms are 15 days. I need to be paid in British pounds or will ask you (the client) to pay the conversion cost from your currency.

New clients and rushed jobs

New clients are required to provide 50% of the fee upfront.

Rushed jobs are normally charged at a premium, which is agreed in advance.

Copyright and non-use of commissioned work

Costs quoted are for my time as well as for the written work so the full fee will be payable even if you as the client decide not to use it. Similarly, copyright in the work remains with me until it is paid for in full.
